It is deliberately honest about what a phone can and cannot do. It compares Wi-Fi and Bluetooth only. It cannot see powered-off, wired, cellular-only or non-radio devices, and a clean comparison is not proof a vehicle is clean. When a radio cannot scan, the app says so rather than pretending.
Everything runs on the device. No account, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. Nothing is sent to Pharoah Technology or anyone else, and signals are recorded as anonymous references, not device names.

The sweep
Outside baseline
Move at least ten metres from the vehicle, keep your own known devices with you, and record what the phone can hear. That reading is the background to compare against.
Zone-by-zone scan
Return to the vehicle and scan the cabin, then the boot and exterior. Each zone is compared against the baseline, not judged in isolation.
Newly observed signals
The app reports every new Wi-Fi or Bluetooth signal a zone reveals, how strong it is and how close it appears — so a tracker that was not in the baseline stands out.
A plain verdict
Each sweep ends in one of three honest verdicts: newly observed signals are very close, inspect physically; repeat the sweep; or no strong new signal appeared. Reset and start again any time.

The scanner works by difference, not by a fixed database of 'bad' devices. A baseline taken away from the vehicle captures the ordinary radio background; the vehicle zones are then measured against it, so what matters is what is new and close, here, now.
